[Avila, 5/16/14]
It's been offering Korean tacos, burritos, and other Korean-American mash-ups since early May, so here's a quick look inside the D-Street Village location of KOi Fusion, the first sit-down brick-and-mortar restaurant from the familiar food truck brand. The 35-seat restaurant goes futuristic in its look, with art by Gage Hamilton, who supplies a large geometric mural inside spaceship-like portals, plus original graphics atop two communal tables that look vaguely like surfboards. Light-wood wall accents and bright green accents add to the surf shop illusion; so will the upcoming outdoor patio that will debut later this summer.
KOi Fusion is open now.
