Gabe Rosen and Kina Voelz, co-owners of SE's seven-year-old Japanese restaurant Biwa, will soon open a restaurant completely dedicated to ramen. The Oregonian reports the pair will open Noraneko on the Central Eastside's Water Avenue, serving what Rosen calls a "fairly straightforward" menu "with shio, shoyu, miso, and something for vegetarians that's actually delicious." In addition to noodle soup, Rosen plans to serve kara-age and gyoza, two staples on the current Biwa menu.
Eater has reached out for more details, but the O reports the 30-seat Noraneko could open as early as this December. More information as it becomes available.
