Celebrity Carnie Wilson is opening the Love Bites by Carnie cafe and industrial bakery in Sherwood, with plans to light the ovens sometime this summer. Wilson is the daughter of Beach Boys-founder Brian Wilson and a member of the pop trio Wilson Phillips, and most recently, she appeared on Celebrity Apprentice, only to be fired in the season premiere by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Wilson co-founded Love Bites by Carnie with childhood friend Tiffany Miller, and according to the press release, it will serve “decadent bite-size treats” so people can “enjoy the pleasure of an amazing dessert while being mindful of portion size.” Pastry chef Carrie Ellen (Toro Bravo Group, Nines hotel) will helm the ovens.
Love Bites by Carnie was originally planned to open in Lake Oswego, but the celebrity entertainer and the City of Lake Oswego appear to have been unable to agree on terms. According to the PBJ, the new facility intends to set up shop “in an industrial park in back of a Walmart complex” and aims to produce between 30,000 and 50,000 mini cheesecakes a month.
