Eater has your sneak peek of Alan Sprints' soon-to-open Hair of the Dog Brewery & Tasting Room, which recently moved from its production-only facilities in the Brooklyn 'hood to a cavernous, 10,000-square-foot space on SE Yamhill. HOTDog has been brewing since the early '90s (its signature Fred golden ale and Blue Dot double IPA have both accumulated their fair share of accolades), but the tasting room is Sprints' first foray into watering-hole-meets-restaurant.
"We're gonna have a selection of cheeses, cured meats... there'll be pasta, salads, braised meats will change on a regular basis," says Sprints, who plans to man the kitchen for the first few months of operation. "We'll have a selection of donuts from Voodoo Doughnuts, and a selection of chocolates from Cacao... all food that'll go well with beer." Opening date "could be any day next week"; hours to start will be Weds-Sunday, 2-8pm.
