Brunch in Portland is practically a blood sport. With lines never ceasing to form outside perennially "hot" brunch spots — Tasty N Sons, Screen Door among them — attending weekend brunch often means waking up goddamn early or waiting until the crowds cease for a seating time that's closer to dinner than breakfast. But for those times when you're too hungover to patiently wait for a table, there are often places within walking distance of that brunch hotspot that'll do just as well. With that in mind, Eater's quick list of alternatives when that long wait tests your patience.
