Just in, word that the long-awaited soft opening of downtown Director Park's Violetta has been pushed back until at least next Monday, pending fix of a last-minute construction incident, training of Caffe Vita baristas (full disclosure: one of whom is the author of this post), and final menu-tweaking by ex-Lucier chef Jeremy Niehuss, who's promising a wholesome and hearty menu full of locally sourced product. Think Highland Oak burgers, Willamette Valley Cheese Company gouda, and Oregonzola fries.
