Join former Portland Monthly food critic Camas Davis--just back from three months in France learning to butcher--and a bunch of local writers as they read from pieces that have something to do with killing (and probably eating) animals. First there was Wordstock; now there's Livestock: "an urban conversation designed to explore the literary and literal aspects of killing your dinner." November 4th readers include B.T. Shaw, Emily Chenoweth and Joe Strecket. The following Wednesday will see Langdon Cook, Anna Sachse, and Rob Newton.
Where: International Culinary School, 34 NW 8th Ave
When: November 4th and 11th, 6-8pm
Cost: $25
