The Portland Mercury's Sarah Mirk files pho-pun-tastic word today of four employees of Northwest joint Toast & Pho filing suit on their employers, mostly for unpaid wages from the "total chaos" that was the Vietnamese/American restaurant's November 1st opening day. The four claim that they've been shorted anything from $100 to the very specific $7,007, while current owner/manager Tan Vo is skeptical given last Saturday's protest. "'If someone owes you money, you will hire a lawyer to get the money back, not stand in the cold for two hours protesting,' says Vo. 'This is a dirty game from someone who wants to shut us down.'"
