Turns out that bike-racked, Brad Cloepfil-designed, Bruce Carey-owned downtown restaurant Saucebox is boasting not only Seattle marathon runner Gregory Gourdet behind the pickled apples-making kitchen line but, as of recently, an award-winning eggnog as well. Word is bartender bar chef Kyle Billings' (left, doing some sprinkling or something) combination of eggnog, Chinese 7-spice, rum, and brandy rocked the Elephant Deli's 2nd Annual Northwest Eggnog Competition. Winner of last year's was Thatch Tiki Bar, because, as we all know, nothing says eggnog like a northeast pu-pu platter.
