Extremely-anticipated clusterfuck-of-happiness that is Pok Pok and Ping-er Andy Ricker (left, eating not-a-burger), Sel Gris-er Daniel Mondok and Kurt Huffman's way-southeast burger bar, Foster Burger, starts normal operating hours tomorrow, after a week-long opening run. Food Dude has a killer PDF of the killer menu--four burgers, if you include the "fish butty," fries, potato salad, and a chopped salad with radicchio and pork belly lardons (of course)--and the Oregonian a glamour shoot. Direct operatives haven't yet made their way over to the far reaches of 53rd and Foster, but word on the Yelp jury tends towards the high-five with a few mostly price-related caveats, and includes phrases like "ass kicking delicious food," "tad steep for a very neighborhood-y, McMen's-style (but definitely better food and service)," and "worth a try if you're a burger lover." PDXPlate concurs that "any burger lover in Portland needs to get down there right away." Locked and loaded. Stay tuned...
