Micah Camden's Fats Pub Closing, To Be Replaced by LBB

Breaking news: Eater has confirmed reports that Fats gastropub, the most recent addition to Micah Camden's mini-empire on NE 30th and Killingsworth, is shuttering permanently — to be replaced in 2011 by another outpost of Camden's off-to-a-great-start slider shack Little Big Burger, which just opened last month in the Pearl. And there will be no swan song for the pub formerly known as Fats: The shutter is effective immediately.

LBB co-owner Katie Poppe confirmed the closing/opening news today, adding that the Big Burger formula will be tweaked a bit to accommodate the Killingsworth crowd: "The traffic patterns are a bit different over there and we'll probably gear it towards more of a late lunch/dinner/late night/take out place, keeping the drafts on tap, utilizing the take-out window, and keeping everything (including draft) under $4." Projected opening date is "early 2011."
