Frankies Say Delay? PDX Spuntino Project May Be on Hold

Is the "original Stumptown" looking for a new neighbor? K. Brooks reports that Frankies Spuntino's promised expansion into Portland may be on hold. The Brooklyn restaurateur duo of Frank Falcinelli and Frank Castronovo has been busy touring the country over the past few months to promote their cookbook (popping up on Nightline in the process) and launching new NYC ventures. But maybe there's hope: During an interview with Castronovo this summer, the bearded Frank remained vague about an opening date in Portland, pinning it down to "sometime in 2011."
