The new trend in craft beer is gypsy brewing, in which brewers rent brewery space and equipment from conventional breweries in order to keep costs down. It also allows them to be "crazy creative": Massachusetts-based Pretty Things brews a "woodland stout" with rosemary roasted malts, as well as a Belgian-inspired quadruple brewed with dried plums.
