The annual Classic Wines Auction charity event fetes each spring, with a tony black-tie dinner and wine auction that raises funds for a variety of charities (last year's auction raised an insane $2.3 million). To stir up excitement for the 2011 event (scheduled for March 5), Classic Wines Auction is pairing with a dozen PDX restaurants for a series of Winemaker Dinners throughout the town's best kitchens from November 2 to 4. Dinners at Genoa, DOC, and Andina are sold-out, but today's your lucky day: Somehow, reservations are still available for dinners at Metrovino (with Bethel Heights Vineyard on November 2; Ten 01 (with Chehalem and J.K. Carriere) on November 3; and Navarre (in John Toboada's new Luce space) on November 4. Get on it.
