After playing coy with Portland for months over its impending location, holding open calls for staff, and facing new competition for late-night eats with the opening of drag den Osasisba, Hamburger Mary's — the queer-friendly chain of burger and booze bars — officially opened its doors to the public on Wednesday night.
As patrons of its old school location may remember, Mary's serves up standard burger-joint fare (plus late-night chocolate chip pancakes) until 4am on the weekends (or more respectable 2:30am on school nights). To celebrate the grand opening weekend: $3 Long Island iced teas all night. Sounds about right.
