"Sip: Coffee For a Cause" Pours Today with 16 PDX Roasters

Midday coffee break, anyone? More than 16 local coffee roasters — including Cellar Door, Spella, Coava, Water Ave., Public Domain, and Courier Coffee Roasters — are pouring tastes of their brews in Pioneer Square today as part of Sip: Coffee for a Cause. The first-annual event, a fundraiser for YWCA of Greater Portland, features tastes from roasters large and small (Starbucks, for some reason, will be there), and guests will get to vote for their favorite bean in a friendly "coffee wars" contest (which Starbucks will probably not win). The party starts at 11am — we're jittery already.
