We repeat: Gabriel Rucker's highly anticipated bistro Little Bird (which features an all-star team of Le Pigeon chef Erik Van Kley and former Paley's Place pastry chef Lauren Fortgang) is on target to open on Wednesday, December 8. (According to its shiny new website, hours for the slightly-more-casual spot will run from noon to midnight Monday through Friday; 5pm to midnight on weekends.)
According to a tipster, the staff — which also includes Le Pigeon general manager Andy Fortgang — has already done several "trial" runs to work out early kinks in service. Real pros, these guys.
