In today's AM EaterWire, three booze-related news nuggets from the long weekend:
PEARL DISTRICT: The cavernous space that once housed Italian-Mediterranean restaurant Olea will soon welcome Brix Tavern, a 150-seat spot that will serve from 11am to midnight. The liquor license app (brought to our attention by the folks at WWeek) lists Michael Gottlieb as the spot's legal counsel — he's affiliated with Urban Restaurants, Inc., the folks behind Nob Hill's Urban Fondue and Bartini. New project for the Urban group, perhaps?
DOWNTOWN: Add another boldfaced name to the ranks at Little Bird: Former Clyde Common bartender Jonny Ericsen has signed on as the bar manager at Gabe Rucker's brand-spankin'-new downtown bistro. As reported, the sure-to-be-hotspot is slated to open December 8.
DIVISION/CLINTON: About damn time: Andy Ricker's Whiskey Soda Lounge (one of PoMo's "Best Restaurants" of 2010) announced the addition of happy hour, every night after 10pm. Score.
