Clarklewis is very close to opening The Kindling Room, the first private dining space for the inner eastside eatery where chef Dolan Lane works his magic. The fiery-sounding room is located in a dramatic space on the west side of the building — with views of the cityscape across the river — complete with 14-foot ceilings, two full walls of glass, and seating for 24 people.
It was designed by owner and design-dabbler Bruce Carey, who says the comfy space was named for the firewood they store in the area for the hearth rotisserie. Carey says the space should be open by this weekend for holiday parties as well as other festive get-togethers; for booking info, contact the restaurant.
