Let the holiday gorgefest begin: Just two weeks before Thanksgiving kicks off the official eating season, the Northwest Food & Wine Festival celebrates the Pacific NW's local bounty, with a cocktail party in the Pearl's Pure Space that offers tastings of 600 wines (surriously?), bites from 50 restaurants (including Simpatica, Aquariva, Bluehour, Wildwood, Toast, and A Cena), and a holiday cocktail/bartender competition highlighting local spirits.
And if the $75 general admission ticket to the November 13 event seems a little too spendy, the Oregon Bartender's Guild is offering a limited number of discounted tickets — $99 for a pair, $65 each — with proceeds benefiting the Guild.
