Metrovino's Gregory Denton, Castagna's double-winner Matt Lightner, and Metrovino's Todd Steele at the Eater Awards

Eater National has the bulk of the post-party coverage (Eric Ripert! Anne Burrell! Andrew Knowlton! The cans!), but for a lil' taste of what the Portlanders were up to at the New York City Eater Awards last night, click through for a sneak peek. PDX's own magical Mike Thelin acted as the event planner for the whole shebang, and representing were Chef- and Restaurant of the Year winner Matt Lightner (at the event, Food & Wine restaurant editor Kate Krader was heard referring to him as "her little brother") and Restaurant of the Year nominees Greg Denton and Todd Steele from Metrovino. As expected, Andy Ricker's famous Pok Pok wings were a huge hit with some big-named NYC editors (we spotted the Knowlton chatting it up with Andy — behind his table!). And even more expectedly, PDX had the largest contingent of people who showed up for more booze at the afterparty.
(There's also an image floating around featuring Ricker and Denton fooling around with Lightner's awards, but that seems to have disappeared from our Eater logs. Sneaky boys, yous.)
