Breaking: The Zukin reports that longtime general manager Hal Finkelstein, who helped open the restaurant 16 years ago, has been let go from Wildwood. Finkelstein has been a fixture in the restaurant's front-of-house since 1996, when the Northwest spot debuted under the guidance of Corey Schreiber; since then, he's built a solid reputation of interacting with guests in the dining room and generally charming the pants off of Eater. The shuffle, which also sees the departure of Wildwood's assistant GM, represents a major management overhaul at the storied spot — more info as it becomes available.
