From one all-star kitchen to another: Just got word that Daniel Mondok will be joining Eater Awards nominee (and friend) David Anderson on the line at Portland's storied Genoa... starting next week. Mondok (famously formerly of Sel Gris, Foster Burger, and most recently the sous chef at Greg Perrault's June) will join Anderson's ranks as sous chef.
According to a statement, Mondok's has "always been intrigued with Genoa’s history as a home-base for great Chefs like Jerry Huisinga and Cathy Whims... I think Genoa is offering something unlike any other restaurant in Portland." Mondok makes his debut in the Genoa kitchen on December 8.
