Twelve Days of Eater: Fresh Italian Olive Oil at Nostrana

Every day from here 'til the holiday, we're pimping a locally-made, totally edible treat great for gifting to your favorite foodie.

The Gift: Chef Cathy Whims is celebrating the a familiar Italian tradition — the wintertime pressing of olive oils — with tastings and bottles of the stuff, directly imported from Italy, for sale at Nostrana. Available: first-press bottles of Frantoio Becchina Olio Verde, Toscana's Tenuta di Capezzana, and Tuscany's Frescobaldi Laudemio.
The Recipient: Italian grandmothers everywhere.
