The 10 Most Notable Restaurant Closings in 2010

It's no surprise that 2010 was a rough year for the service industry, and though Portland celebrated a slew of splashy, successful openings (check the experts' lists of the Best Newcomers of the Year), the city also saw its share of unfortunate shutters. The 10 most-eulogized, in no particular order:

- Carlyle (2003-2010)
- Greek Cusina (1974-2010)
- Half & Half (2000-2010)
- Sel Gris (2007-2009; any possibility of resurrection officially killed in 2010)
- Belly Timber (2008-2010)
- Fats (2009-2010)
- Alba Osteria & Enoteca (2003-2010)
- Everett Street Bistro (2006-2010)
- Little Red Bike Cafe (2007-2010)
- Niki's Restaurant (1972-2010)

And one bonus:
- Lovely Hula Hands (which closed on December 31, 2009).

Leave your final farewells — to these and others — in the comments. RIP.
