Add another OMGWant to Eater's holiday wish list: Irving Street Kitchen bartender Brandon Wise (who also happens to be Eater PDX's Bartender of the Year) will playing host during a series of upcoming "Booze & Brunch" events at the Pearl spot. On three Saturdays beginning December 18 (through January), Wise and a guest bartender will team up to teach brunching guests some cocktail basics (including some hands-on shaker time), all while everyone stuffs their face with pickins from Sarah Schafer's brunch menu.
Guest bartenders include Metrovino's Jacob Grier (who will shake up holiday classics), Beaker & Flask's Dave Shenaut (who will focus, helpfully, on hangover cures), and Clyde Common's Neil Kopplin (who goes locavore with cocktail ingredients). Reservations required; a special deal is offered to those booking a spot at all three classes.
