Martha Holmberg Leaving The Oregonian

Martha Holmberg, all-around superstar vis a vis previous jobs as publisher of Fine Cooking and author of cookbooks like Puff, is leaving her post as editor of the Oregonian's dedicated food magazine, the excitingly capitalized MIX, and the paper's general food section, the unfortunately capitalized FOODday. Holmberg is living every starving reporter's dream and heading to where the real sustenance is. Yes, that's right. She's going into PR. She'll be starting at Watershed Communications--a local powerhouse firm that represents Adam Sappington's Country Cat, Cathy Whims' Nostrana, and northwest's Wildwood--on April 1 after, as she tells Food Dude's comments, spending a month and a half "slogging around the house in yoga pants and starting seeds for the garden." And that's why the Oregonian--and its readers--will be right to miss her. Got anecdotes about what she was like to work with, eat with, read with? Let's make this Holmberg Appreciation Week, shall we?
