British chef, TV personality, and cookbook author Jamie Oliver just yesterday received the $100,000 TED prize for his work combating childhood obesity. Coming from a country in which schoolchildren, as Diner's Journal reports, "misidentified tomatoes for potatoes, an eggplant for a pear and a beet for an onion," Oliver's been aiming for a complete Food Revolution, one in which we, you know, start eating food (cf Michael Pollan and his "mostly plants") again.
