The Portland Mercury's Sarah Mirk launches a new column today, "Confessions of an Ex-New Seasons Staffer." Because there are enough ex-New Seasons staffers in Portland to warrant an entire column, and because their stories--many of which are inspired by the store's policy to "say yes" to, as Mirk reports, "every customer request"--are just that insane. The column kicks off with an inaugural story about a little old harmless-looking lady who happened to like to build shopping cart nests. Take it away, Ms. Mirk. [BlogtownPDX]
