Guardian writer Chloe McCloskey heads to Seattle, searching for experiential alternatives to just being alternative, decides that one coffee company is better than another. The intrigue comes in that McCloskey, while admitting that Portland-based Stumptown is making a "serious mark on the coffee game," says that Seattle-based but Portland-encroaching Caffe Vita "was my preference." ZOMG. ZOMG. ZOMG. Vita Vs. Stumptown! Round 1! Balls! WTF! Or, as a helpful tipster says, "Vita winning in taste over Stumptown - the sky in PDX is falling." [The Guardian]
