Salem-based restaurant chain McGrath's Publick Fish House (with a Milwaukie location here and others in Eugene, Bend, Medford, and Beaverton) filed for bankruptcy yesterday, seeking protection from, as Portland Business Journal reports, "between 1,000 and 5,000 creditors." Assets and liabilities are somewhere between ten and fifty million, and mostly the chain owes money to Pacific Seafood, Sysco, and Duck Delivery Products. Is this what happens when everyone listens to Bourdain and stop eating fish on a Monday? [Portland Business Journal]
