Crazy Competitions

The Art Institutes of America, home to Portland's International Culinary School--which doubles as Cory Schreiber's new home--has just announced the Best Teen Chef competition. Local competitions begin April 17th, with national finals in Houston. Competition's open to high school seniors in the US and Canada (except for Quebec, which is where all the good cooking happens anyway) slated to graduate in 2010 and who are holding a minimum 2.0 GPA. Which makes this something like "these are spirit fingers!!!", Friday Night Lights, and the search for Preston Myers, all rolled into one glorious torchon. [Art Institutes]
