Steve Plotnicki and Opinionated About Dining have taken their annual stab at proclaiming the Most Important Restaurants in the country. Unsurprisingly, His Highness Thomas Keller takes the first two slots on the list of the 30, with Yountville's French Laundry and NYC's Per Se slotting #1 and #2, respectively. In addition to the Top 30—which is largely dominated by the New York contenders—Plotnicki also ranks the Top 15 of eight regions from around the country. Portland, shockingly, is nowhere on the list.
