Is it possible The Oregonian will not publish their annual dining guide in 2010 now that Scoopy LaScooparina—aka Diner Editor Karen Brooks—is no longer employed by that publication? Word is sifting through local kitchens that with her departure—and the fact she carried more than a yeoman's share of the annual undertaking—the daily has no other choice but to skip a year and reboot it in 2011. This not only leaves a few fussy foodies with nothing new to bitch...er...discuss, but also puts a bit of a tarnish on the much anticipated "Restaurant of the Year" crown.
