Culinary Trust Throwing Crazytown IACP Dinner

New, 1 comment

The IACP--the International Association of Culinary Professionals--is descending next month, thanks in large part to the efforts of dearly departed Mike Thelin, and others. Consider this the official start to IACP Clusterfuck Coverage, henceforth known as IACPCC. First up, the word that The Culinary Trust is throwing a Culinary Duet dinner on April 23rd, just in case would-be diners weren't fast enough on the draw with the Gregory Gourdet/Madhur Jaffrey duet going down that night at Saucebox. The Leftbank Annex will be hosting a fundraising dinner (that's why it's a little as-they-say spendy) of a who's who of Portland scenesters, both chefs and their essential creative collaborators. On the roster are Beast's Naomi Pomeroy, Paley's Place pastry chef Lauren Fortgang, Ned Ludd chef/owner Jason French, the Country Cat's Adam Sappington (right, with wife and Cat co-owner Jackie), Cheese Bar's Steve Jones, and David Briggs of Xocolatl de David. Brilliant lineup, i.e. raise your hand if you're up for foie gras bonbon-covered piece of fried chicken, a foietella souffle cake, and a super-cheesy meat pie! [sic]

When: April 23, 6:30pm
Where: Leftbank Annex, 101 N. Weidler
Cost: $165 non-members, $145 members
RSVP: janet.cabotATedelmanDOTcom.
