Barista II Is Open and It’s Gorgeous

What if a coffee shop is so beautiful that you feel like you should dress up in order to order an Americano? The serious espresso pullers at Barista (led by award-winning Albina Press founder Billy Wilson) have just opened Barista II on Northeast Alberta. Designed by Ben King, the space looks like the Hollywood version of a classic train station’s with embroidered leather banquettes, a copper-topped bar and newspapers rolled into tubes. Cary Grant would fit right in. But it’s the recessed sunny courtyard that may be the real attraction as soon as they get their patio furniture in place.
