Scientists say that warm weather this spring has caused the microbreweries to arrive early this year. Attendees at Migration Brewing Company's official grand opening party last weekend lined up for a preview taste of MPA, or Migration Pale Ale. All others will have to wait until the end of April to taste the brewery's flagship beer. The warehouse-y space with a big beer garden on N.E. Glisan near 28th opened "soft" in February, and has been serving outside micros on tap while waiting the final touches to its own brewing system. In fact some of the equipment is still not here, but a batch of MPA is being brewed down in Sisters, Oregon, at Three Creeks Brewing Company. It will make the journey to Portland, possibly by next weekend, depending on how El Nino effects the migration route.
