Tix Still Available for Tonight's Taste of the Nation

New, 1 comment

In the event that you're somehow not nursing a post-IACP and/or Eat Mobile food hangover, tonight's Share Our Strength Taste of the Nation Portland should provide the perfect cap to this glorious week of gluttony. The annual event offers up tastes from 50 of PDX's top restaurants — including Beast, Beaker and Flask, Genoa, Simpatica, and Dayton's Joel Palmer House — all in the name of ending childhood hunger. (The $75 general admission price tag may seem steep, but one hundred percent of proceeds benefit local food banks and organizations.)

Tickets to the all-out gorgefest are still available at Taste of the Nation's website. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. in NE's uber-European-sounding LUXE Autohaus and includes restaurant, winery, and beer samples and a silent auction (for some extra coin, VIP ticket buyers can enter the party early).

And procrastinators rejoice: All day today, enter the code CHINOOK when purchasing tickets online, and receive 10% off the cost of admission, plus a free Chinook Book (here's hoping it contains a few coupons for some trips to the gym).
