Last week, we reported that the space formerly known as It's a Beautiful Pizza will be occupied by Hall of Records, a hybrid vinyl store, music venue, and bar/cafe (early peeks at the menu hint at pint-and-sandwich specials).
Hall of Records' co-owner Justin Saturn Meyer checks in with an update and news about an exciting neighbor: "We're actually not taking over the whole former pizza space (just the west side, closest to Dixie Mattress). Our landlord, Wayne, is opening a restaurant on the other half of the space, called Cognito. He'll be open later in the year."
And a Willamette Week scoop offers up more deets: Jeffrey Kingman, formerly of Riccardo's Ristorante in Lake Oswego, will craft Cognito's Central- and South American-inspired menu.
Opening date for both is slated for "early summer."
