The schedule is out for the debut Food Film Festival, put on by International Association of Culinary Professionals and the cooking encyclopedia Foodista as part of the IACP's annual shebang descending on Portland April 21 to 24. First up is the feel-hopeful, locally-produced documentary “Ingredients,” (8:30 pm Friday, April 23), about chefs' efforts to support sustainable farming. Then comes the feel very, very bad The End of the Line (7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 24?), covering the horror of overfishing (“Imagine an ocean without fish”). The feel-good foodie comedy Today’s Special (?10 p.m. Saturday, April 24) wraps up the event. It's about a young Indian chef who finds life, love and all that jazz in the kitchen and co-stars cookbook author/actress Madhur Jaffrey who plans to be at the post-film Q&A. Tickets are $10 a flick and available here.
