Memo to vegetarians/recently converted vegans: Just because something's furry and adorable doesn't mean it isn't also delicious. A piece in today's Oregonian examines the local market for rabbit meat, which is available on the menu of local faves Simpatica Dining Hall, Laurelhurst Market, Bluehour, Lucy's Table, and Beast, among others. According to Simpatica and Laurelhurst Market's meat-head Benjamin Dyer:

"Rabbits are kind of hard. We love it, but the general populace can still be a little skittish."

Revised memo to vegetarians/vegans and the skittish: Just because something's furry and adorable doesn't mean it isn't also delicious. Sometimes, it makes a damn good stew.
