Cork Celebrates Happy Fourth with 30+ Wine Tastings

Alberta's gourmand one-stop shop, the Cork Wine Shop, celebrates its fourth anniversary today, and in recognition of its four years fattening the neighborhood up with its selection of wine, beer, and Alma Chocolate, it's offering a 30-wine-strong tasting of Oregon's best carbon-neutral wineries. (Fourteen local vintners, including Winderlea, Sokol Blosser, and Adelsheim Vineyard, are participants in the Carbon Neutral Challenge, which aims to reduce greenhouse emissions in wine-making operations.) And for those of you who only get sloshed for a good cause, know that tasting fees will be donated to the Oregon Environmental Council — ensuring that a feel-good feeling will accompany the inevitable hangover.
