New York City chefs Frank Falcinelli and Frank Castronovo, the two Franks behind Brooklyn's rustic Italian hotspot Frankies 457 Spuntino, are rumored to be heading to Portland. Eagle eyes at Eater NY picked up on a note in the NYTimes' weed-in-the-kitchen piece suggesting the Franks — who are famous for expertly curating menus at two Frankies Spuntino locations (the other's on the Lower East Side), two Cafe Pedlar coffeeshops, and Brooklyn's Prime Meats farm-to-table restaurant — are thinking about a Portland locale. The Franks seem to be inspired by their close friendship with Stumptown guru Duane Sorenson... and egged on by "the creative help of marijuana."
