Tix Still Available for Sappington/Garrett Iron Chef Cook-off

Sometimes when local chefs and foodies battle it out, children (not just bloggers and train-wreck rubberneckers) are the ones who win. In a benefit for the Children's Relief Nursery, Cafe Nell's Andrew Garrett will face-off against The Country Cat's Adam Sappington, the defending champion, in a culinary showdown to name Portland's Iron Chef.

Tickets are still available to tomorrow's event; and if the idea of Sappington and Garrett struggling with a secret ingredient isn't enough to stir you, Beaker & Flask's Ben Bettinger, Metrovino's Gregory Denton, and Iorio's Chris Thompson will also on-hand at the Portland Hilton Grand Ballroom to duke it out for the competition's People's Choice award.
