Before Eater PDX goes dark for Memorial Day Weekend, a quick trip 'round the Wire. Have a great unofficial first weekend of summer, see you on Tuesday morning!
EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL: Produce Row, the Southeast beer-and-whiskey bar and sanwichery (new word; let's go with it) that's been closed for renovations for the past two months, confirms its re-opening date of June 12 is on schedule. To celebrate the re-emergence of one of Southeast's most vibrant patios, Hood River's Double Mountain Brewery, Washington's Walking Man Brewing and Portland’s own Laurelwood will collaborate to create a Produce Row special draft.
WILLAMETTE VALLEY: The annual Memorial Weekend in the Wine Country event features more than 150 open house-style tastings at local wineries, and several have pledged proceeds to benefit Ecotrust's Farm to School programs. The event runs through the three-day weekend; for those in search of familiar tastes, Olympic Provisions pairs up with Forest Grove's Apolloni Vineyards for a wine-and-charcuterie pairing.
