The post-IACP love keeps on coming for Portland — this time, it's the industry-insider publication Star Chefs that's devoting its May issue to singing PDX's praises (apparently, a great first impression lead the mag to name it a Rising Star City for 2011). In addition to a lesson in restaurant name-dropping in the all-Portland letter from the editor and yet another IACP recap, the online mag shot the breeze with Vitaly Paley of Paley's Place, complete with videos and recipes. But dear god, talk about a major collection of food porn: The work of Castagna's Matt Lightner gets the photo gallery treatment, as do dishes from Ned Ludd, Wildwood, the Heathman, Ten 01, Beaker and Flask, Le Pigeon, Metrovino, Pix Patisserie, and Two Tarts Bakery (whew). As part of its "Rising Star" series, Star Chefs will be back soon to stroke Portland's ego even more: May we suggest the (soon-to-be-revamped) Eater 38 as a good starting point?
