Nob Hill Gets Taste of the Mediterranean

New, 1 comment

Nob Hill's finally going Greek. On the corner of NW 21st and Glisan, signs of life (including an awning and awesome frame motif over the bar) are showing for the new branch of the NE Fremont Mediterranean restaurant Blue Olive. (Opening date, though, is still TBD.) The spot takes over the old Virgo & Pieces and Zefiro space, though in a recent Oregonian story, owner Farzad Larki shrugs off the idea of a locale curse.

And just a few blocks away, the wine bar formerly known as Cafe Reesewhich closed for "renovations" earlier this winter — has re-emerged as Dorio, a Greek and Mediterranean restaurant with a similarly casual vibe. No Yelp or Citysearch reviews yet; if you've tasted, send a tip. ???? ????? ???!
