New American Restaurant Kin Opens in Former Holden's Bistro Space

New, 5 comments

Famed Chicago chef Kevin Shikami — a former Food & Wine Best New Chef winner — debuted the Asian- and European-influenced Kin on Tuesday, in the Pearl District spot that once held Holden's Bistro. Menu tends toward seafood-friendly small plates with an Asian twist (think hamachi ceviche in yuzu vinaigrette and a salmon-and-pork-belly dish). For a chef with a loyal Chicago following, this opening's been pretty much on the DL, with little web presence. Anybody been? Kevin, are you reading? Thoughts/reviews welcome, as always.
