Barista Gets Liquor, Violetta (Finally!) Opens its Doors

DOWNTOWN: According to the Twitterverse (and despite word straight from owner Dwayne Beliakoff's mouth that a hard opening was supposed to happen "sometime next week"), the perpetually delayed Violetta celebrates its Grand Opening to the public today, for a happy-hour party between 3:30 and 6:30pm. To atone for stringing Portland along for months, complimentary small bites will be available.

ALBERTA: The second location of Billy Wilson's chic coffee shop Barista has something the original Pearl locale doesn't: Booze. Starting today, microbrews and bottled beers will be available in addition to the usual espresso, and hours will be extended to 10pm.
