It's official: As rumored earlier this year, Brooklyn's same-named duo Frank Falcinelli and Frank Castronovo are bringing a restaurant to Portland next year — and word of a Stumptown partnership has been all but confirmed thanks to an upcoming "Welcome the Frankies" event at Stumptown on Thursday:
"Frank Falcinelli and Frank Castronovo are the creators of... a-soon-to-be-created Portland, Oregon version of the Spuntino. They are bringing their food to Portland, 2011 when — with the support of Stumptown’s Duane Sorenson — they open their first west coast restaurant. So meet them now at our book launch party for them — Stumptown is hosting with wine, beer, coffee and Chef Jason Barwikowski of Olympic Provisions will be serving bites inspired by Frankies Spuntino, plus everyone takes home a signed copy of the Kitchen Manual."
